Notifications
Notifications help you return to assigned tasks, request outcomes, discussions, receipts, and billing events. Set delivery preferences separately for each category.
Review notifications
Open the app's notifications view to inspect in-app events. Follow a notification to the associated resource and check the current state before acting. An older notification can refer to a task that has since completed, been canceled, or been superseded.
Notifications and email subjects show Step succeeded or Step failed, and Request succeeded or Request failed, when the outcome is known. Email subjects append the request title. Canceled and replaced requests have distinct email subjects. Other events use New task, Task completed (for automatic completion), New message, and New receipt.
Email links target the relevant task, request, receipt, or Plans page. Sign in with the intended account when prompted.
Account, workflow, and billing emails share the app's footer with Home, App, Docs, Contact, Terms, and Privacy links. Security notices and delivery explanations appear above the footer.
Set delivery preferences
- Open User profile โ Notifications.
- Review the categories: Request notifications, Task notifications, Chat notifications, Receipt notifications, Retention deletion reminders, and Billing recovery reminders.
- Set the In-app and Email switches for each supported category.
- Choose Save.
Categories without saved preferences start enabled. Change a switch and choose Save to store your preference.
The Billing recovery reminders in-app option is disabled; its email preference is managed separately from other categories. Preferences do not expand your access or add you to a discussion's audience.
Retention deletion reminders warn request and receipt owners before automatic retention cleanup. Their emails link to retention settings and the retention and deletion guide. Disabling this category does not disable retention deletion.
Missing messages
Check your email address, spam folder, notification preferences, selected workspace, and whether you are an eligible recipient. Email delivery can take time.
If you need to act now, open Tasks or Requests directly rather than waiting for an email. For a delivery failure, provide support with the event time and resource context without sharing credentials.
Email tokens
Workflow emails, including retention reminders, consume tokens per recipient, charged to the originating workspace. Tokens are checked before sending and charged when the email provider accepts the send. Queuing a notification does not consume tokens. Disabled email deliveries are not charged. Security, account recovery, and billing emails are included without a workspace token charge. See Usage and tokens.
